    Today, many people expect an organization to have a website, and are surprised if you do not. They may even feel inconvenienced if you don't have one. Your site needs to be a good site, of course, or it can reflect negatively on the organization. A 'good' site means it is up to date and your visitors can find what they need easily.

    Access information or input forms 24-7, including email access.
  3. Cost Effectiveness
    Save on printing costs, communication costs, or even staff costs.
  4. Branding
    Make an impression as to who you are and what you do, in conjunction with printed materials, policies, etc.
  5. Community Building
    Use your site in conjunction with email lists to keep your community – customers? clients? members? officers? – informed and connected.
  6. Enlarging the circle
    Bring in new people who find you on the web.
  7. Your Own Reason
    The unique reason that you come up with when you have considered your organization's mission, your target audience on the web, and what problem(s) you want your website to help you solve. An on-line church directory (password protected, of course)? An up-to-date, accessible calendar?
