John Wesley and the Founding of Methodism

In 2003 the world celebrated the 300th anniversary of John Wesley's birth (1703–1791). The Methodist Church UK website covers the early history of Methodism. I also noticed that Charles Wesley is no longer being ignored as a co-founder of the movement. UMC.org continues the history with the beginnings of Methodism in the United States.

The Upper Room Daily Devotional

The Upper Room publishes devotional and Christian spiritual formation resources. Publications include The Upper Room, Alive Now, Pockets (for children ages 6-12), and Devo'Zine for youth. Daily readings are available on the web or by email subscription. The Upper Room is a division of the United Methodist Board of Discipleship.

An On-line Concordance

BibleGateway.com is a free service for reading and researching scripture online. You can search for a keyword or passage in your choice of 17 different English translations (as well as other languages). Provided by Gospel Communications International, Muskegon, MI.

The Board of Global Ministries

The umbrella organization in the United Methodist Church for missions, including the United Methodist Committe on Relief (UMCOR). The Board of Global Ministries also offers free website hosting to UMC churches and agencies.
